The new KidZone facility has proven be one of the more popular venues at the Club. It is great fun for the kids with a number of activities to keep them entertained including a giant jungle gym, swings, trampolines, sandpit, volleyball court and basketball court. There is also a small field adjacent that doubles as an action soccer or cricket pitch.
KidZone Rules
- The KidZone facility is only available to members of Durban Country Club. Members must be present if they wish to invite guests.
- Children need to be signed in and out of the facility with a valid membership card.
- The facility is a play centre and not a restaurant. There is no waiter service on offer. Should you wish to order food or drinks please do so at one our restaurants.
- Only children over the age of 3 may be left unaccompanied by a parent at the facility. Please note that the KidZone staff are not responsible for changing nappies.
- KidZone is not a day care facility. Children may only be left there whilst members make use of the Club’s facilities. It is the parents’ own responsibility to check on their child regularly.
Birthday Parties
If your child has a birthday party coming up, look no further than the KidZone to host a fun party without the stress. The venue hire to host a children's party is R500 for up to 30 children. Should there be more than 30 children, an additional cost of R20 per child will be payable. You are required to purchase a KidZone party box at a cost of R5 each (which includes a helium filled balloon which will be provided on the day) which you can fill at your discretion (themed party bags to be put in the KidZone box). Contents to be used in the boxes are strictly pre-packed goods e.g. box of smarties, packet of jelly tots, small packet of flings/crisps, toys etc. No sandwiches, sausage rolls, or other snacks are to be included.
For the adults we can provide tea/coffee and scones at R25 per person. Alternatively we can tailor make your requirements for the adults. IMPORTANT NOTE: No outside catering will be permitted under any circumstances.
We are able to bake a traditional chocolate, vanilla or carrot birthday cake (unfortunately no unique shapes e.g. Barney, car, princess etc.) at a cost to be discussed as it is dependent on the type of cake required. However, you are welcome to bring your own special themed cake
