This classic rectangular-shaped room, decorated in neutral tones, overlooks the Moses Mabhida Stadium and opens out onto a small deck. The room is accessed from two different points, one being from the main landing as you come up the stairs and the other is through the Grill Room foyer. The Athlone Room is decorated with prints of charcoal and water colour pictures of early colonial architecture around South Africa, from Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg.
This room is conducive for most functions in a variety of seating arrangements and can hold any number of audiences up to 70 in dinner cluster style and 100 in cinema / conference style.
Belvedere Room & Ball Room
The Belvedere Room is the largest of our function rooms, accommodating up to 250 people, and is a regular favourite for Club functions, workshops and conferences. Decorated in warm neutral tones, the eastern wall of the Belvedere Room consists of a bank of windows overlooking the bowling greens, swimming pool and the Indian Ocean.
The room is divided from the Ball Room by means of elegantly dressed arches, making the two rooms seperable, however they can also be combined for larger functions if required.
Beachwood
Beachwood has become recognised as a superb, safe and convenient venue for wedding receptions, 21st birthdays and boardroom meetings. Beachwood offers you a warm, “home away from home” environment to entertain guests and colleagues.
Beachwood Lounge
This room has an amazing view of the 18th fairway and opens onto a veranda creating an open and friendly environment for guests to enjoy. The venue can cater for up to 120 people with ample secure parking available. A dance floor and DJ can be provided and the room also has access to the very popular Beachwood Bar. What is most impressive is that this venue provides a feeling of total and utter privacy.
Beachwood Boardroom
This intimate, informal room situated off the main foyer of the Clubhouse is perfect for a small meeting or gathering and workshop of up to 30 people. Catering can be provided as well as all other amenities that are currently available at the Country Club.
