Latest update on the Dynamic Rating calculation
Below is a simple explanation of how the Dynamic Rating calculation works:
- There must be a minimum of 24 male or 24 female players in a specific am or pm field in order for Dynamic Rating to be taken into account.
- Net scores for the field are then sorted from the lowest to the highest.
- 20% of the field is then taken (20 if field of 100 players) and the new CR value is then based on the 20th lowest (for example) net score on the sorted list.
- If the SR for the course is for example 72, the minimum the CR value can then be is 71 and the maximum it can be is 75.
- No penalty scores, N/R or scores for players with no or N/A handicaps are taken into account for the calculation.
